SLOG BEATS SEAHAWKS! Holiday Charity Challenge Day 14! (And You Can Still WIN SEAHAWKS TICKETS!)

Posted by on Sun, Dec 15, 2013 at 10:41 AM

This holiday season, the fans of hometown all-stars Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pearl Jam, and Slog are raising money for YouthCare’s Orion Center, with a goal of $100,000 to keep our city's homeless youth safe and sound, seven days a week for the next year. On any given night, from 700 to 1,000 young people have no safe place to sleep in Seattle. Whose fans will do the most to help?! We challenged Seahawks fans to start giving, and look—they're not just loud, they're getting in the game!

Seahawks fans have donated: $615.00
Slog fans: $9,496.00
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis: $34,818.14
Pearl Jam fans: $36,503.27
Seattlish fans: $1,981.00

This is so great! But the 12th Man has a little catching up to do, and we've got a ways to go to reach our goal. Annnddd, to that end, the Seahawks have given us two tickets to the Seahawks vs. Cardinals game next Sunday that YOU CAN WIN. For a chance to be at the game, just donate by noon on Monday, December 16 (any amount counts!), then forward your receipt and tell us in 100 words or less why Seahawks fans are so damn great. The best reason wins! The winner will be announced Monday afternoon, right here on Slog! Donate to the Orion Center right now!

• Macklemore & Ryan Lewis fans: GO HERE TO GIVE!
• Pearl Jam fans: GO HERE TO GIVE!
• Slog fans: GO HERE TO GIVE!
• Seahawks fans: GO HERE TO GIVE and make a note that you want your donation counted under Seahawks fans!

The fans who raise the most for the Orion Center by December 24th WIN the title of the Best Fans of the Best Band or Best Blog in the Universe Forever!
