McGinn's Wife Gets Arrested

Posted by on Thu, Nov 7, 2013 at 2:16 PM

That's it, I'm in love with the very public, post-election Peggy Lynch:

The wife of outgoing Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn, Peggy Lynch, was one of the women arrested at an immigration reform rally in Bellevue for refusing to leave the office of the Washington State Republican Party.

About 30 women refused to leave the office Thursday during the demonstration, which was party of national actions urging Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives to reform immigration laws.

Of course, if she'd used these tactics as an Occupy Seattle protester, McGinn would have had her pepper-sprayed in the face.

I'm in love with this line in the story.

It's Bellevue, not Seattle.

Christ, who knew that she could be even more obnoxious than he is?

Man, first Marilyn McKenna busted loose once we got rid of her husband, so after Tuesday Peggy's freeing up her post-election moves! What next?

2015, Sue Ann Conlin chains herself to the tunnel boring machine.
2017, Michael Shiosaki rampages down Broadway smashing windows of cars parked in the cycle track.

Susan Hutchison says, "You cannot fix a broken law by breaking the law." It's as if she has never heard of history.

I would like to remind you Dominick that the 80 year old woman, Dorli Rainy, who was sprayed in the face with pepper spray during the Occupy demonstrations, endorsed Mayor McGinn. It wasn't Mayor McGinn who pepper sprayed her. It was out of control police who are now subject to re-training thanks to Mayor McGinn's 20/20 plan.

Do you need a couple of bucks to get a room together?

Wow look she is rich, white and privileged enough to purposefully get arrested.

Way to stick it to the man.

Hopefully her and hubby will hightail it back to New York.

@9, it was McGinn's SPD after three years in office fighting against any change and promoting from within for Chief. Don't bother trying to re-write history here. Plus, I love Dominic's burn so just step off dude.

She'll probably have to be dragged, kicking and screaming into paying any fines, similar to how her husband had to be dragged into settling with the feds over spd abuse. Watch out, she's got a 20/20 plan!

If they had simply called up Susan Hutchison and arranged a meeting it would have been far more effective and far less embarrassing for the McGinn children. Susan would have been more than happy to meet with them and open it up to the press as well.
