Gallup finds favorable impressions of the Republican Party dropping to an all-time low of 28 percent as a result of the shutdown and debt ceiling brinksmanship.
This is the lowest favorable rating measured for either party since Gallup began asking this question in 1992.
The last time the Republican Party polled anywhere near this low was when Republican House members voted to impeach Bill Clinton in 1998.
