Leo Berk wins the main award. With it comes $15,000 and a small exhibition at Seattle Art Museum opening November 7, when at 5:30 p.m., there's a free public celebration at the museum. There's kind of a lot of pressure on an artist when he wins two major awards locally in a short span of time: In 2010, he won a $25,000 Arts Innovator Award from Artist Trust.

Jack Daws and Sol Hashemi, also interesting artists for very different reasons with very different attitudes, win the smaller $2,500 awards.

All dudes? All dudes. (The selection committee: 11 men, 6 women.)

The other finalists were Jen Graberczyk, Wynne Greenwood, and Anthony Sonnenberg, of 627 applicants from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
