As I mentioned yesterday, Lynn Shelton's latest film Touchy Feely opens this Friday at Harvard Exit and you should go. What I did not mention is that one Touchy Feely plot-thread involves Reiki energy work (primarily executed by the wonderful Alison Janney; see above). In the spirit of promoting an artist we love and people-like-free-shit-ism, a quiz:

Which of these television shows has Lynn Shelton NOT directed an episode of?
Mad Men
New Girl
Burn Notice

Send your best answer to touchme@thestranger.com. The first right answer to hit the inbox gets a free one-hour session with Olivia Mendez at Kula Movement. (FYI: We'll be giving away two more sessions with Mendez tomorrow and Friday, so check back then and brush up on your Lynn Shelton knowledge in the meantime.)

Touchy Feely opens Friday at the Harvard Exit. The 7:20 screenings on both Friday and Saturday will be followed by a Q&A with Shelton (moderated by me) AND a live musical performance by Tomo Nakayama.

Wait, a free Reiki session for the winner? So, they literally get nothing if they win, plus they have to go out of their way and spend their time to get that nothing? What a deal!

I'll sweeten the pot: I'll send positive thoughts in the general direction of not only the winner but also the top two runners up. Just as effective, and less inconvenient for them!

@3 - It's a trick question. Lynn Shelton isn't a real person. She is an alter-ego of Martin Scorsese created to allow him to explore some other ideas that his regular Scorsese persona couldn't get away with. Martin Scorsese has directed episodes of all three shows under various other pseudonyms.

Burn Notice isn't the answer? @1 seems to be on the mark about that prize.

@5 - Martin Scorsese the lighting class instructor was actually a pseudonym employed by the late Sidney Lumet for the purposes of teaching classes about filmmaking.
