The iTypewriter Brain

Posted by on Tue, Aug 20, 2013 at 8:44 AM

As one whose memory of writing pretty much begins with an electric typewriter (paper and pen are as primitive to my mind as a bow and arrow), then progresses to a Brother pc, then just a pc, and then touchscreens—this machine represents something like the writing monster in my brain...

Don't you find that you write differently using different writing tools? Writing with pen or pencil allows one type of creative flow, while writing on a mechanical typewriter another, and electric typewriter yet another, and a computer another still. All good for different purposes. I think mechanical typewriters are particularly good for poetry.

The mechanical ipad writer is a good chortle.
