Then you're in luck! Until 3 p.m. today (run!), a Ben and Jerry's truck is offering free scoops of cold, delicious ice cream at Thomas Street and Westlake Avenue North, in support of the Yes on 522 campaign. Initiative 522, as I've written about before, would require the labeling of retail foods with GMO ingredients in Washington State. Apparently, you're supposed to say "labels matter" to get your free ice cream.

Me, I'm waiting until the Dr. Bronner's truck drives around with free Dr. Bronner's to support I-522. Dr. Bronner's Magic All-One soap is a big 522 supporter, and recently changed their label to what they called "a special agitprop label" in favor of 522. Read the whole thing! (A bigger version here.)

  • Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps!

My fingers are crossed for the traveling soap truck. (Hey, this reminds me of the best Public Editor ever.)
