Because Guns Make Us Safer

Posted by on Mon, Jul 22, 2013 at 3:32 PM

A three-year-old Cabot, Arkansas boy is dead after reportedly shooting himself with a 9mm handgun early Monday morning. A four-year old Sedro-Woolley boy died Sunday morning from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, coroners have determined. And a six-year-old Siouxland, Nebraska boy died Saturday from what police have called an accidental shooting.

Three shot. Three dead. Three days.

Actually, in the case of the 4 year old Sedro Woolley boy, they're investigating it as a homicide. The point is still the same though.

"Three shot. Three dead. Three days."

if they had all been three year olds. you'd had the qudra-fecta at the horsey racies, Mr ASS of the HORSE.

Still, quite poetic with what you had to work with; I bet you're a writer

Weird how so many of these are reported as accidents. As if leaving a loaded firearm in easy access of children isn't an irresponsible, negligent, dumbass thing to do. "It was God's will" that ignorant addlepates protect their lives and property from the real scourge of the nation: American boys.

With the Sedro-Woolley incident, the gun owner was a convicted felon who was denied the legal use of a firearm earlier this year.

If there wasn't a gun then those kids would have beat themselves to death with baseball bats or so the righties say.

when it's the kid of an ignorant, negligent guntard, it's less tragic and more Darwinistic.

your kid got hoist by your petard. hopefully you'll learn a lesson and will put a trigger lock on your gun, or at least not leave a round in the chamber, and your other spawn won't follow in their sibling's footsteps.

but if they do, is America really worse off?

Okay, let's do it by odd numbers Goldy. Next time make it five shots, five dead, five days.

Hell, you could get a lot more than five dead in Chicago in five days. You know, that place where all guns are banned?

@16: if 5 toddlers killed themselves in 5 days in chicago, it would be a Slog post.

apparently, you can't let a "because guns make us safer" post pass without working Chicago and it's ineffective gun "ban" into the discussion. trust me: we are all aware that there is rampant gun violence in chicago, and that chicago's borders are not sealed against gun traffic, either illegal, or from it's suburbs.

Largely, the gun deaths in Chicago come from out-of-state guns (Duh!), primarily shipped in from those hick Southren Red states where gun lobbyists make a pile of moola fucking up the rest of the country.

Ya know, those welfare Red states us Blue states support with our tax dollars, that have a lower standard of living for their citizens and much shittier schools, healthcare, etc.

If they couldn't sell the firearms that kill Chicago citizens I guess they'd be even poorer fuck, if less murderous.

So there's that.

5280 isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. The other day, he demonstrated that he doesn't know the meaning of the word homicide when he claimed that Zimmerman wasn't involved in a homicide when he killed Martin.

Then how come all surrounding areas that the guns are coming to Shitcago from have a lower murder rate?
