A website called the Committee Against Political Repression, which issued statements ahead of May Day about the FBI's attempts to question locals about those protests, says in a post today: "In the past 48 hours, at least six Seattle climate activists have been approached by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation at their home or school."
A member of a Seattle-based committee who asked to remain anonymous confirmed the statement, but would not elaborate further. I've reached out to Seattle's FBI office via phone, email, and Twitter for comment. In the days before May Day however, a spokeswoman would neither confirm nor deny the FBI visits. "We do all kinds of routine activities throughout the state on any given day," she told Brendan at the time.
