NORTH CAROLINA: "At a recent church service at High Rock Community Church, the senior pastor told church members that a staff member had been fired for having sexual relationships with young girls. Now that staff member, youth pastor Torrey Morgan, is in jail on charges of disseminating harmful material to a minor under 18 years of age, (felony) disseminating harmful material to a minor under 16 years of age, 2 counts of (felony) indecent liberties with a child, and (felony) second degree sexual exploitation of a minor."
FLORIDA: "A former youth minister at Christ’s Church Mandarin was sentenced to three years in prison Wednesday for molesting a 15-year-old girl. David Wayne Lawson, 39, was sentenced by Circuit Judge Mark Hulsey. He previously pleaded guilty in May to multiple counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a juvenile. Church officials said he was fired as soon as they found out about his arrest."
MINNESOTA: "A former St. Joseph-area youth minister was sentenced Friday to more than nine years in prison for sexually abusing two brothers in Washington County. Matthew David Feeney, 44, previously pleaded guilty to second-degree and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was accused of sexually assaulting two brothers, who were 9 and 14 years old when the assaults started, according to court documents. Feeney was working as owner and casting director of Walden Entertainment, a talent management company that no longer exists."
