Get out of your North Face jackets and into your North Face shorts, it's summer, Seattle! While you've been working on your tans I've been burning the daylight oil to bring to you the most amazing, most perfect, most brilliant first-week-of-summer schedule you've ever had the privilege of laying hands on.

Behold. The News-and-Politics Calendar.

THIS WEEKEND: The Fremont Fair is happening Friday-Sunday. Parties. Decorated Cars. Parades. More parades. Parades dedicated to dogs. Yoga. Rad.

TUESDAY: Head down to Montlake Ale House and join in on Drinking Liberally. Get a pitcher and talk some politics.

THURSDAY: Pro-Choice Washington is hosting it's Power of Choice Awards and Cocktail Soirree at the Arctic Club Dome Room. Have fun, mingle, and donate to an awesome cause.

So Pride is wonderful and great, but you know what would make it even better? If you could be enjoying the festivities AND helping kids at the same time. Wait, you can? How?! Stuff the Bus, an annual event that gives 9,000 Seattle students school supplies, of course! Take some supplies up to the Wildrose June 24th-July 3rd and you'll find a nice collection bin to put those pencils and what-have-you in.

Know something is happening? Lay it on me!
