The Air Force seems to have locked up the title of "Weird Millennialist Christianist Rape Factory" for good. The service is completely in thrall to evangelicals, who regard Jews and Muslims and even Catholics as less than American, and women as less than human.

I wish I was surprised.

But I'm not.

Jesus fucking christ, if he did it, may he rott in whatever hell he came from.

And from the look of his arrest photo, his wounds are consistent with a strong woman defending herself from a sexual assault.

This is just sick. Don't read the comments on the stripes website, a lot of them are sickening. And if you do, realize that anyone can comment on there and it is not a military only comment board, so don't assume it is people in the military making those atrocious comments.

I'm glad she at least beat his ass because the possibility of justice from the military is slim to none.

@2 Oh yeah. He's not just the sexual assault prevention guy who got busted for sexual assault; he's the sexual assault prevention guy who got his face (and hopefully other things) handed to him by a chick and then got busted for sexual assault.

That being said, @7; this guy groped a woman's breasts and butt. That's not good but that's not burn-in-hell or lock-him-up-and-throw-away-the-key bad. A moderate punishment for his moderate offense is in order. And his trouncing was well deserved.

So I guess all the people who speak out all the time about assault and so on are the ones to really fear.

I'm just thankful that all he did was try to grope her and that she was able to fight him off. The guy's an idiot and a disgrace to the American military.

Clearly this is Obama's fault.

@11--it's possible that he might have done more if she hadn't kicked his ass.

Agreed with the rest of your post.

Sadly, after watching "The Invisible War," I'm not surprised. The military's response to sexual assault in the military has been to punish victims for "lying" and "making up stories," and then assign accused perpetrators to be in charge of sexual assault response teams.
