I Think We're Alone Now is the 2008 documentary about two people who are proudly obsessed with the '80s teen pop star Tiffany. It is a one-of-a-kind document, and you may watch it whenever you care to on Netflix Streaming. (Or rent it from one of Seattle's many great video stores!) We will discuss the film here on Slog next Wednesday at noon.

@12 They did totally exploit their subjects. Incredibly sad.

@13 Nice review. It was years ago that I watched it, so maybe I was just in the wrong mood, and I don't remember the ending at all....could be that I missed the best part!

Oof. This one was too much for me. That ooky guy just made me sad and I felt like the filmmakers were totally exploiting him. But sometimes I'm sensitive like that.

@5 - I don't know Cat Dancers but a documentary about people obsessed with a singer from the '80s reminds me of For the Love of Dolly. Those fans are demented.

It is impossible for me to think of that song and NOT think of this viral video of two Navy men: http://youtu.be/_27nyW5JOAU
