Good Christian Michele Bachmann Wants to Stop Obamacare from Literally Killing Kids

Posted by on Fri, Mar 22, 2013 at 1:14 PM

Crooks and Liars says that self-identified "believer in Christ" Michele Bachmann wants to keep fighting Obamacare. Why? For the children, of course!

"The American people, especially vulnerable women, vulnerable children, vulnerable senior citizens, now get to pay more and get less," Bachmann opined. "That's why we're here because we're saying let's repeal this failure before it literally kills women, kills children, kills senior citizens!"

"Let's not do that!" she exclaimed. "Let's love people, let's care about people. Let's repeal it now while we can."

Bullshit. Bullshit on this woman who loves to take from the poor to give to the rich. Bullshit on her for fighting as hard as she can to keep life-saving vaccinations with junk science and fear-mongering. Bullshit on the way she poorly cloaks her efforts to make more money for health insurers in her love of humanity. Just, bullshit.

Technically she's right. "Obamacare" will kill people.

It's just that Obamacare will kill FEWER people than our current system.

She literally has no shame. She literally lies through her teeth.

I think she thinks "literally" means "doesn't". That would explain a lot.

Yes, this word "literally"... I do not think it means what this Mishelle Backhstmann thinks it means.

In other, how does she manage to actually earn a living? It must be very difficult being such a mindless puppet as she is. But maybe I misunderestimate something about Republican politics.

Bachmann may be crazy, but she manages to get re-elected every two years. Crazy like a fox, I'd say.

@7 No, the republican base is stupider than she is, that's all.

The bat-shit loony toon is proof of how stupidity can become dangerous. SHAME on the people of Minnesota who voted for that jackass-douchetwit.

@7, She's just been very fortunate to have a gerrymandered district full of wing-nuts as nutty as she is that re-elect her every 4 years.

I wonder if Paul Constant will ever get tired of reporting on wingnut drivel while almost never reporting on the short-coming of Democrats. It's not like there is shortage of things to say about 'grand betrayal' on the safety net, further bi-partisan proposal for deregulation of derivatives, gutting of public schools, and on, and on. Silence is complicity at this juncture.

@12 - There is no need for papercuts: the overwhelming majority of Americans are on Obama's left. They are waiting for leadership that isn't coming.

She's right about one thing--we're living in the era of paying more and getting less. It's only going to get worse too.

@Paul (and Goldy), I hope you guys will pay serious attention to the rollout of Obamacare—because in many ways it's already happening. Smart states like California passed legislation mirroring the PPACA at the state level, started creating exchanges (thus allowing Federal reimbursement of the vast majority of additional costs), and began using state funds to roll out Medicaid-expansion plans to protect the poor prior to the 2014 full implementation at the Federal level.

@10. Every two years. Somehow that makes it sadder. But yeah, they gerrymandered the SHIT out of her district.

There's a special place in Hell waiting to roast Michelle Bachmann and her fellow travelers.

@2 - I've seen dozens of Oatmeal comics, and this is literally the first funny one I've seen. (I figured there was a reason people like them.)
