Yay for cities that ticket drivers whose big-ass trucks impinge on sidewalks; boo for cities that have laws requiring things like ⅔ of a parking space for a 1-bedroom apartment, 1⅓ spaces for a 2-bedroom, and interpret those rules all too literally (i.e. parking spaces 15 feet or 25 feet long between the sidewalk and building wall).
I think she means this is where we live now. Our houses are where we garden, where we cook, where we read, where we make love. They are where life happens, not just where we lay our heads at night.

Lyrics from "Endless Summer" , 2012 Paul Kuniholm Pauper
"Thousand more morons
Wheeling round in Humvees
Drought, pestilence everybody hungry
Sea faux skullery taint no dummy
Last of the pharaohs, royal saudi money"
I too, have been regularly passing this truck for years. I think I admire his ability to park such a monstrosity more than I judge him driving such a monstrosity in the first place.
