Yes, the staggering levels of crime perpetrated by South African blacks are purely imaginary. There's obviously no reason for white South Africans to feel threatened. Can't we all just get along?

He didn't mention blacks, he mentioned a political group. Sure, equating the ANC w/ blacks is like equating Republicans w/ whites. But I know I sure as hell don't direct my anger against "whites" when I criticize Republicans/Team Rape. I rail against their policies. It seems to me the only person who's playing the race is the author of this post.

I have several friends and many acquaintances in SA, and they could easily have said the same. Not all of them carry guns, but they certainly understand that the cops are unreliable, to put it mildly. Private security squads are a big business. Charles, in his quest for intellectual honesty, usually mentions that. I'm surprised he forgot this time.

SA is a beautiful country, but it's not like in America. Crime is a constant threat. It is quite legal to go through a stop light if you're approached by a pedestrian at an intersection. Because that pedestrian probably has a gun and they're going to use it to take your car. If you're a woman, they'll also rape you. It's a fact of life. And the ANC hasn't done very much to shift the country away from it. They're still living in Apartheid, w/ their hate for the whites.

I don't have to point out the ludicrous things they've done over the years, like the health minister who told people that AIDS can be cured w/ olive oil. Or the gross corruption going on. What SA needs is a strong party that will stand up the monolithic ANC, which has ran the country single-handedly since the 90's. They've had more than enough time to change things in SA, but they haven't. They're more interested in feathering their own nests than in running the country.

From my somewhat limited understanding of the situation on the ground, the error was in his father including the term 'white', as the ANC, and by extension the police or any part of the social service sector (such as it is) doesn't protect anybody.

Susan Smith ran to a nearby home and hysterically knocked on the door. She told the homeowners, Shirley and Rick McCloud, that an black man had taken her car and her two boys. She described how she had stopped at a red light at Monarch Mills, when a man with a gun jumped into her car and told her to drive. She drove around some, and then he told her to stop and get out of the car. At that point he told her he wouldn't hurt the kids and then drove off with the boys who she could hear were crying out for her.

I can definitely back up #5. One of past trips to NYC in 2004 involved staying in a hostel in a room with a 40something y.o South African white guy who was a farmer. i guess the fact that I'm an American black guy asking how life was like post-Apartheid let him reveal the fact that whites are afraid as hell and are literally scared the day Mandela dies. He personally knew of farmers who've been randomly killed and has worries that South Africa will end like Zimbabwe or Uganda, with the whites being kicked out.

And yes he didn't use the term blacks because some of his best friends are black. He basically said ANC Thugs..
