Paul Constant Hearts The Rock

Posted by on Fri, Feb 22, 2013 at 3:21 PM

Paul Constants desert-island movie.
  • Paul Constant's desert-island movie.

What Paul Constant does not say here in his review of Snitch is that he truly—almost romantically—loves The Rock. He was being angsty in the newsroom about the potentially problematic real-life aspect of this new addition to The Rock's ouevre before he went to see it; his disappointment here is all too real.

So which film by The Rock should a Rock-virgin see? On Paul Constant's recommendation, I have added The Rundown to my Netflix—apparently if you want rock-solid The Rock, that's your film. Paul Constant has even said that if he could only watch one movie for the rest of eternity, The Rundown (or, you know, To Have and Have Not) would be it.

I first read this as "Paul Constant Rocks the Heart".

I love it when dyslexia brings out hidden truths.

The Rundown is a great choice; Walking Tall is only fun once you already love him for his superheroicness. Or go back to WWE pay-per-views of 2001/2002. He also has a small, rather odd role in Southland Tales.

The Rundown also features the added bonus of Sean William Scott getting repeatedly punched in the face.

What, no love for The Rock's tour de force performances in Disney's Race to Witch Mountain or The Tooth Fairy?! I am shocked and appalled.
