Rob Delaney: Context Is Everything

Posted by on Thu, Feb 21, 2013 at 10:02 AM

If the name Rob Delaney sounds familiar in a way you can't quite place, it might be because he's always like the second or third Twitter bro they suggest every time you have to sign up for another Twitter account. Once, I took the suggestion and followed Rob Delaney for a while. And then later I stopped. Also, I don't really use Twitter very much. Anyway I think the phrase "prolific but mediocre" came into mind during the split-second decision to unfollow him. This, however, is pretty great. I guess it is all about delivery.

I watched the Jimmy Kimmel show just to see how his standup comedy was (being familiar with his tweets). He wasn't very funny, I felt bad for him. I hope he was just having an off night.

Most people who think they know what funny is have shit senses of humor. That probably includes you #4. Rob Delaney shits on you unfunny humps.

I don't do the Twitter, but I've seen him on Chelsea Lately. He's funny. It's weird; I have always been a non-consumer of standup for the most part, but now I watch three of them a day on Chelsea, and I'm starting to know who they all are.

hee hee, I follow and enjoy. There are at least a handful of tweets a day that make it well worth it. I AM amused.

There's no need to actually follow him because everybody else you follow will retweet everything he says.
