Note to Newsbusters

Posted by on Thu, Feb 21, 2013 at 10:03 AM

That headline upset you? I'm so sorry. And, hey, if you're having trouble getting your wadded-up panties out of your crack, I'm happy to overnight a corkscrew to your offices. But as much as I'd like to claim credit for "that motherfucking power-hungry, self-aggrandized bigot in the stupid fucking hat," because that line is fuckin' genius, credit for it goes to musician, actor, comedian, and motherfucking genius Tim Minchin.

Unfortunately for Newsbusters, there is too much hate spewing from rightwing media personalities/journalists (including Fox News and Breitbart.com) to make any claims of "liberals do it too" sound plausible.

Really? The "mainstream news" ignored a comment made by a blogger? Even if he *is* a columnist whose articles don't typically make it out of the "Escorts" section of the seediest left-wing rag in town?

Wow. Really, just wow. Please, do tell how the "mainstream media" is censoring the real news about my cat dying, or the tragic circumstances that lead to a drunkard's homelessness.

Oh, and Dan? I think it might be time to stop googling yourself. ;)

I read the comments on that article. I do not recommend it, I feel dumber already.

I have to say, good on you Dan for dealing with this all.the.time. and still doing what you're doing, and thank you we are winning. Honestly, just reading the article and the comments makes me so angry and it's not even me it's attacking. Crazy shits.

This is an article essentially saying, "Dan made fun of us and no one thought that was horrible!"

NewsBusters, you ate absolutely fact-based on this one. Great reporting.

To many right wing-nut Christians, telling them to stop trying to force their version of Biblical rules (that even they don't follow) onto others is tantamount to feeding them to the lions.

Some people thought Life of Brian was bashing Christianity. People who'd never seen it but demanded it be banned anyway. They haven't changed in 35+ years.

Huh... I've been reading Dan Savage since H.S., and that was a longer time ago than I'd like to admit, and I've never felt "herterobashed," whatever the hell that is. The comments were pretty special. Those folks are pretty darned fragile. You say one critical thing about their beliefs or their actions, and all of the sudden they're being bashed. And of course no one's read it. They already know ALL ABOUT IT from reading conservative columnists. I bet you probably none of them watched the Brian Brown interview.

Since his probation forbids Danny to lick or buttfuck doorknobs anymore corkscrewing his ass is about the only fun he has these days.

It's headline news because obsessive, anti-gay bigotry doesn't play in Peoria anymore. They might as well have been planning a prom that excluded Jews, or African Americans. The mainstream is beginning to see anti-gay hatred in the same light as white supremacy.

@8 sorry if that was to obscure for you. In addition to covering for child molesters, the pope also continues to demand that no catholic use a condom. This has resulted in the completely unnecessary death of thousands of his followers.

Perhaps Newsbusters should consider that the headline and the video did not get coverage by the major media outlets because they know that their audience agrees with the sentiments expressed and they know their corporate masters wouldn't allow them to report that fact. Fuck the motherfuckers at Newsbusters and fuck the motherfuckers who think calling that motherfucking Pope a motherfucker is bigotry. I would also add that religious leaders are fucking dancing on the graves of dead gays kids. Dancing motherfuckers each and every motherfucking one of them.
