TV The Ballad of Leonard Cooper

You know those times when you see news stories about teenagers doing terrible, stupid things and you feel awful about the future of this country? Leonard Cooper on the Jeopardy! Teen Tournament is the exact opposite of those stories. We're going to be just fine.

Of course, this clip also shows how our math standards have slipped--because in this tournament, it is your two day scoring total that counts...and had the first contestant had gotten the answer right (which Leonard couldn't have known) and even with the amount that first contestant actually wagered (which Leonard couldn't have known...and that first contestant could have wagered even more) that first contestant would have won.

Leonard got the answer wrong...got his math wrong...and was boldly arrogant about it.

He got lucky and now it makes him look cool--but he could have easily looked astonishingly foolish.
