Apple Next to FLOTUS

Posted by on Mon, Feb 11, 2013 at 3:32 PM

In case you were wondering who is "running tings round here," LA Times makes it clear:

Apple CEO Tim Cook will sit with First Lady Michelle Obama during President Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

It marks the second year in a row the invitation has been extended to the Apple family. Last year, Laurene Powell Jobs, widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, joined Michelle Obama in the coveted spot.

Even me, a Mac hater to the max, prefers that it's Apple and not JP Morgan.

You do know Tonderai did that for comic effect, right? YOU DO FUCKING KNOW THAT RIGHT!?!?!?

Poor Chuckie. The thought that someone might not consider him brilliant is all it takes to rankle him.

.... But likely no male partner in there mucking up that CEO image. At least on Wikipedia you can read that his personal life involves "hiking, cycling, and going to the gym" along with several other exciting things.

@5: Nobody knew that. To begin with, there's no tonal buildup to clue us in that that you might be kidding. Check with some of the ladies in the office; they know how to do it. That aside, when you rarely bother to properly capitalize, and so often butcher a simple copy and paste, you shouldn't assume the rest of us would come to that conclusion.

Makes sense as Apple will soon need trade protection so it can continue to sell mp3 players for $600.

Presumably, this means there will be a line about Apple returning some manufacturing to the US in the State Of The Union.
