We Have Entered the Crazy Candy Golden Zone

Posted by on Fri, Feb 8, 2013 at 11:02 AM

A recent visit to Bartell revealed that we have come upon that short stretch of days when drugstore candy aisles contain explosions of goods for both Valentine's Day and Easter. This is an insane overlap, and if you've ever craved a Peeps-and-Conversation Hearts fondue, or just like getting your old favorite candy in lovely pastel colors, you have six days left to stock up. (By February 15, what's left of V-day will be bargain-binned.)

Go forth (and brush after).

Short? There are pharmacies and grocery stores here in Atlanta that stocked their Valentine's and Easter candy on December 27th. They should just dump all the holiday stuff on the shelves in July and leave it there until April.

Keep the candy away from Goldy, he is overweight and a prime candidate for diabetes.
