No True Beginning, Only a New End

I meant to Slog this before the show closed February 1*, but its catalog is still very much available and worth checking out. To me, the main room of the environment actually felt a bit shabby and underwhelming rather than fucked-anti-glam (though it looks great in this catalog), but the bashed-up motel room in the back ("Do you know how crazy you can go in a motel room by yourself?") and the floor sculpture of the giant punk studs sitting atop a chunk of stone on a clear plexi pallet were mesmeric. Thank you, Dylan Neuwirth and Jeff Gerber. They wrote: "There is no true beginning, only a new end."

*Things move so fast! I'm genuinely sorry.

Wasn't Dylan Neuwirth one of people responsible for bringing down Consolidated Works way back when? Can't believe he has the balls to make art in this city.
