1 . Tonight at Vermillion, it's time for the Movable Type Mixer. This is a very fun quarterly meetup event. The premise couldn't be simpler: Bring the book you've been reading to the bar. Buy a drink. Walk around. Look at the books other people brought. Talk about books with total strangers. You should come! If it's anything like past Movable Types I've attended, it'll be great. It starts at 7:30 pm.

2. If you'd rather sit and listen, W. Patrick McCray reads at Town Hall tonight. McCray's The Visioneers: How a Group of Elite Scientists Pursued Space Colonies, Nanotechnologies, and a Limitless Future looks at how some scientists imagined the future and explains what happened next.

3. Everything else happening tonight and this weekend can be found in the readings calendar.
