Somebody Throw This Tortoise a Parade

Poor little guy: A family lost their pet tortoise and then found him, alive, in a locked storeroom 30 years later. The Telegraph has the full story.

If the tortoise is going to march in that parade, it's going to be another 30 years.

Perhaps someday we can use tortoise technology to populate other planets. The ability to go years without eating, and having a lifespan or around a century, are excellent traits for interstellar travel.
