Facebook Got Christie's Back

Posted by on Thu, Jan 24, 2013 at 12:28 PM

CNN:

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg will host a fundraiser for New Jersey Republican Gov. Chris Christie's re-election bid, a Christie finance source confirmed Thursday.

The event will take place February 13 at the young billionaire's home in Palo Alto, California.

I wonder if things would have been different if Cory Booker had not made that unfortunate comment about Bain.

Facebook and the GOP certianly share the same values when it comes to privacy.

Oh...after reading this I killed my Facebook account. Not like I used it much anyway...I kept getting friend requests from assholes from high school.

Dems need to start counteracting Christie's charm offensive now. Maybe follow him around spritzing the area with doughnut scent.

Speaking of FB, is anyone else getting hit by drive by Friending? The pattern seems to be I get a friend request, and the profile has zero information, then the person immediately starts a chat session and "wants to know all about me". Is this identity fraud or Craigslist hookers or am I just paranoid. I never use Chat with the few real world Friends I have on Facebook.

get ready for the liberal mavericks [like savage] to surprise all by supporting christie over Hilldogg in 16. there wont be any consequential differences in their policies/platforms anyway; so there will be nothing to lose. I'm pretty sure my super liberal public school teacher mother voted for reagan and recently commented about how much she likes this christie guy.

If you try hard enough you can probably construct a rationale for supporting him and project the false appearance of not being a mindless slave.

I like Christie and that makes me feel very bad, but what can I do about it? That's a serious question.

It's a shame Americans are going to have to be repeatedly reminded of Chris Christie's record, like how he had to cook up bogus financial claims to kill the Hudson River tunnel project, the kind of project that would have been a win-win-win when it comes to jobs, the environment, and this nation's economic competitiveness.

See:
Cannibalize the Future
Gov. Christie and the Tunnel Project

But hey, whatever. Chris Christie's a regular guy and not some conservative extremist. You know, just like George W. Bush, Rob McKenna, etc.
