A History of Pocketable Artificial Intelligence

Here's a sentence you don't see that often: You should go read this long Huffington Post article. It's about Siri and the quest to bring artificial intelligence to mobile touch screens, and it provides a few hints about the future of phone interfaces, too. (Fun fact: Turns out, Apple actually lobotomized Siri a little bit when they acquired the company that created her.)
