There's a lot going on lately in the 23rd Avenue and Union Street area:

Central District News reports that the KeyBank site will be redeveloped as mixed-use and affordable housing by Capitol Hill Housing. This branch is one of the only banking options in the Central District. Of course you should dump big banks for a local credit union, anyway. But it still sucks for CD residents.

Central District native son Bruce Harrell has set up the campaign headquarters for his mayoral run next to Earl’s Cuts and Styles. Looking good.

And it looks like the post office isn't closing, as previously reported. This is bad news for anyone looking to open a marijuana retail establishment. This location is one of the few in the central part of the city that isn't too close to a school, child-care center, playground, park, etc. Restrictions that were set by I-502.
