This New York Times Magazine article about the making of Paul Schrader's The Canyons (trailer above) is one of the most entertaining things I've ever read.

So, cast a porn actor and a bunch of seemingly equally-untalented folks with Lindsay Lohan, and she starts to look like quite a talent in comparison!

I read the article at lunchtime, I agree David, it was a fascinating read. I liked how they described Schrader(sp?) and his tantrum at the end when they suggested he let Soderbergh edit his film. Lindsay was a bit of trainwreck, but they wrote it well with no cheap shots. Deen the porn actor sounds like he might have a future. Great read.

Deen has had to publically say, on several occasions, that he never had sex with Lindsay. That says alot about you if a porn star goes out of his way to say that he didn't fuck you. Particularly with his high standards. *ahem*

It was a decent read, but after watching that horrible trailer I'm not sure if the story and trailer are really for the same movie.

English is my second language. During lunch? Soderbergh edits would have been fun. Maybe an Oceans 11 style ending with a money shot instead of the water fountain at the Belagio?

Read the piece earlier today. Weird. Lohan sounds like a wreck. Also, I didn't know Director Schader was married to actress Mary Beth Hurt.

The sad thing is that the writer of "Taxi Driver" is now begging on Kickstarter, flogging his old Robert DeNiro memorabilia, working with Lindsey Lohan and Bret Easton Ellis on a semi-porno.

I'm really hoping Lindsay Lohan will get it together. She's very much an underdog. I have a soft spot for that.

I read the article this morning and was amazed by the amount of train-wreckiness documented therein.

But I did not expect this. It's 1000x more amateurish than student films I've seen. It's not even funny or camp how bad it is... It's just suck.

Oh, and Lindsay can't even manage sexy. Sad.

Word up, bitchez!

Lindsay Lohan is the greatest living actress (actor?) of our age.

Her performances, especially while naked, are matchless.

Her scenes in Machete almost stole the show (especially the nude scenes).

Nobody comes close to America's Greatest Thespian, Ms. Lohan.

Frankly, the more interesting movie here would be the drama surrounding making "The Canyons" than the movie itself.
