Today in "Republicans are Fucking Hypocrits"

Posted by on Mon, Jan 7, 2013 at 7:26 AM

One of the Republican representatives to vote against providing relief for victims of Hurricane Sandy was, once upon a time, a local official in southern Mississippi begging for federal dollars to rebuild after Katrina. You know, because that's different.

@8,

Get the quotation right:

"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds."

Please don't get me started on Republicans. It's 10 AM Monday morning and I got out of bed this morning for the first time in days feeling there might be (might be!) hope for this country.

@6,
Just because I would like things to be a certain way doesn't mean that's the way it is.

I find their behavior disappointing, but not surprising.

@ 5, so you aren't worried that they're not treating everyone fairly? You tend to be big on everything being equitable for everyone.

They're not the only ones. Colorado congressman Doug Lamborn, the Republican who represents Colorado Springs (the city with the big fire last summer) gladly asked for FEMA money to help his district out, then voted against Sandy relief.

Anyway, CF, aren't you a professor of English? That headline is unforgivable.
