Horse and Potatoes

Posted by on Wed, Jan 2, 2013 at 12:08 PM

Just got a cryptic text from a friend that said "Horse and potatoes at 11th and Pike."

Horse and potatoes.
  • mpt
  • Horse and potatoes.

I checked it out and sure enough, there is a carousal carousel horse and a sack of potatoes outside the new Sam's Tavern which replaces Chino's in that corner spot.

That's a carousel horse. A carousal horse is a different thing entirely.

Ah, Sam's Tavern - I believe that's the new venture by the family whose big daddy resigned as CEO of Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. (of which he remains a large shareholder) after he claimed a million bucks of poorly documented expenses, private jets and such.

It also appears as though his father wasn't a founder as all the press states, but a franchiser. The kids facebook page also lists him as a fan of sean hannity and mitt romney.
