The Silent Reading Party: My Family, My First Book of 2013, a Harpist

Posted by on Tue, Jan 1, 2013 at 4:30 PM

Tomorrow, January 2, join me in the Sorrento Hotel's Fireside Room for the first reading party of 2013. The music will be provided by Will Bielawski, a harpist. My guests will be my family. This is the book I will be reading in silence...

Someone should do an infographic of the usual Slog commenters and their assumed on-line personalities and political leanings. It would be kind of a hoot to see the full spectrum of who posts here. And useful too, as I can't keep 'em all straight.

C'mon, someone must have some mad illustrator skillz and spare time to craft this (lotsa spare time, time to dredge through a year's worth of posts to get all the necessary background info).

"StrangersWorstNightmare" can be a tiny Santorum stain way down on one edge of the graphic.

Pretentious?? Hardly. Bubbles is the foremost dictionarianism of deconctructionary surveyance on etymyological discourse this side of subject, non-subject, object, reject, eject and the mechanics of Goldy's diaper changing methods when passing by a green leafy causeway.

I'll clear my calendar to watch you read your pretentious book in silence. Your family will be there? Will I need a painter's mask to keep from being distracted by the malodorous hair product your daughter uses?
