OH my gosh. One of these days I'll get around to setting myself up as a registered commenter, but I am irresistibly compelled to provide the denizens of Slog with more details about the cat massage video.
That woman's name is Maryjean Ballner (!) and she has written two horrifying books, one on cat massage and one on dog massage. An old workplace of mine kept a stock level of one specifically for mockery purposes: the massage techniques range from simply weird to borderline sexual (!!), and all the photographs have her in extremely intimate poses with creeped-out-looking pets and her signature very, very wide-eyed smile.

Too bad they didn't show the follow up video on the cat massage..the one where the cat guts the lady in the horrible outfit for giving him a "message".

--you made a trifling error in your description of the gun/it's not a "mass shooting" if only 2 are killed and 10,000 threatened/create tangential comment thread about technical aspects of assault weapons only gun lovers get into
--any particular piece of legislation doesn't solve the whole problem.
--gun control doesn't work in dc.
--we're not europe.
--okay you win all the arguments but we win because we gun lovers who own guns and support nra and fight gun control already won, ha ha ha on you, see, we got 250 million guns all over so you can't win now!

--once again claim this perp coulda used a knife, as if in germany france sweden etc. with lower rates of death by gun, they have higher rates of death by knife, and other assholery denialism intended to let these morons keep their guns despite the obvious facts that kills effectively kill and help people kill that's why armies got them, so if you let a few hundred million guns around you're going to have lots of gun killing, just like building roads means the roads fill up, or whatever.
--the second amendment, ignoring the fact that everyone who's not certificable agrees we can ban carrying of nukes, which are arms, therefore teh whole argument dissolves, but make it anyway.
There, I just saved slog about 100 comments. End result: no gun controls, lots of guns and shootings, and the bottom 20% of our society continues to suffer daily violence, crappy schools, crappy lives, and we wonder why schools do better in finland.

@5 normally when a prez says bring it on like obama did, he then would appoint rice, battle it out, and WIN. too bad obama got scared again. hope he protects medicaid and the poor more than he stood up for Rice.
