Re: The Internet Feels Like a Ghost Town

Posted by on Fri, Dec 14, 2012 at 9:46 AM

Or maybe, Paul and Eli, we're all just suffering from post-presidential depression, and the Internet just feels like a ghost town compared to the perpetual online Iowa we'd been marching through these past couple years? No primaries, no polls, no daily Republican rape gaffes to mock... how couldn't we feel a little let down?

But don't worry: The midterm elections are just around the corner!

Something to look forward to: Joe Walsh, recently defeated asshat tea-bag one-term Rep from Illinois, plans to run against Dick Durbin. Hah! That will be a blast.

Your just summed up how pathetic you all are pretty well. The elections WERE the high point of your boring lives. Sad.

Nobody cares about the midterms. That's why Republicans win them.

One more reason why the Web may not feel as alive as it used to: http://dashes.com/anil/2012/12/the-web-w…

"We get bullshit turf battles like Tumblr not being able to find your Twitter friends or Facebook not letting Instagram photos show up on Twitter because of giant companies pursuing their agendas instead of collaborating in a way that would serve users. And we get a generation of entrepreneurs encouraged to make more narrow-minded, web-hostile products like these because it continues to make a small number of wealthy people even more wealthy, instead of letting lots of people build innovative new opportunities for themselves on top of the web itself."
