Death / City Memorial for Bob Quinn, Dec 13 at Cafe Allegro

Bob Quinn, the University District icon and cantankerous hero for harm-reduction in Seattle, passed away in early November. A Slog post about him and his legacy is over here.
His memorial will happen next Thursday, Dec 13 at Cafe Allegro at 4 pm. His family from Canada will be in attendance, as well as lots of folks whose lives he helped through his needle-exchange, public-health, and all-round humane (if not always popular and sometimes outright renegade) work.
A candlelight vigil, including the spreading of his ashes, will begin at 7 pm. All are welcome.

Wow. I don't know the guy but feel like I do having seen him around Seattle since I moved here in the early 90s.
