Fox News Takes Karl Rove and Dick Morris Out Behind the Barn

Posted by on Tue, Dec 4, 2012 at 4:19 PM

New York says:

According to multiple Fox sources, [Fox News head Roger] Ailes has issued a new directive to his staff: He wants the faces associated with the election off the air — for now. For Karl Rove and Dick Morris — a pair of pundits perhaps most closely aligned with Fox’s anti-Obama campaign — Ailes’s orders mean new rules. Ailes’s deputy, Fox News programming chief Bill Shine, has sent out orders mandating that producers must get permission before booking Rove or Morris.

It doesn't get much lower than that.

This reminds me of those parenting articles, where they recommend you periodically put some of your kid's toys in storage for a month or two... When you return them, your kid's have the same experience as getting brand new toys.

As implausible as the "Anonymous saved the day from Karl Rove's election-theft machinery" story was, it was pretty easy to almost believe it watching him lose his shit on TV on election night. I don't blame them for wanting to keep him out of sight for a while. At very best he now looks incompetent and unstable, at least to whatever minority proportion of Fox viewers don't already believe the illegal Kenyan despot was the one who stole the election, and to the ones that do it's not going to make any difference.

Rove: 0 for 33 $175,000,000 gone with nothing to show for it. Ha! Dick Morris is still worth following on Twitter though, if for nothing more than the occasional chuckle.

And the gloating continues. Man, I couldn't have dreamed it would all turn out this good.

Troll or not, @1 is right. They'll be trotted out in time for the next Congressional election.

It's Roger Ailes that needs to go. His lie machine has failed miserably. Which, of course, is a very good thing. So I hope they keep all three.

@8: I don't know...they lost the election, but with so many people still believing Obama is a secret Kenyan-Muslim-Socialist-Gay-Nazi-Communist-Marxist-Terrorist who gets his daily marching orders from Bill Ayers, I think the lie machine is still operating pretty damn well. At least with this country's wide swath of racists, rednecks and good old fashioned idiots.

Not to mention the fact that most people think Obama raised taxes, and the deficit, when the exact opposite is true.
