George P. Bush

Posted by on Mon, Nov 26, 2012 at 8:22 AM

Jeb Bush's son is not going to fix the GOP's problems with Latinos—or with women.

Dear god. Has that fucking family not exhausted its supply of terrible people/politicians named George Bush yet? No more George Bushes ever, please.

HW lost his bid for a second term, and W is so unpopular that he was kept in an undisclosed location throughout the entire 2012 presidential race. Why do Republicans think that people want any body of any race or color whose last name is Bush?

I don't know. There were a few Kennedys who pulled similar stunts, and they got written off as youthful excesses, irrelevant to their political careers. But hey, maybe times have changed.

This article is poorly written. The plural is "Bushes," not "Bush's."

Far be it from me to defend a Bush, but it looks like George P. was just 18 years old when he was arrested (about the age that Auntie Laura was when she killed her boyfriend). This too shall pass...

@2 - Really, it's like they're convinced this is going to work if they just give us the perfect version of George Bush. Okay, that first one wasn't folksy enough, how about this one? Too white? We have it in brown. No?

Watch for the next-next generation of George Bush to be a woman named Georgia Bush. She will be a folksy Latina with a nonthreatening smile and functioning blink mechanisms (Laura was the prototype; it didn't work).

So an 18 year old does some stupid shit on New Year’s Eve?... Clearly not "one of us".

Better find something better to hang him with.

Hell, Teddy Kennedy was 37 when he killed a chick, he seemed to have a political career none the less.

@3 Yeay! Team Rape's False Equivalency brigade isn't dead!

Only one Kennedy became president. Two were assassinated, and both under extremely suspicious circumstances beyond the "official story." Nothing near that has happened to the Bush family.

Also, the Dems have managed to come up w/ two successful presidents _not_ named Kennedy in the past twenty years. Team Rape can't seem to come up w/ a good candidate that *isn't* named Bush.

He's probably a total douche but the War on Women isn't about which party has the douchiest candidates (or candidate's family members, I guess?) but the GOP's awful, regressive stance on reproductive health. Republicans made great efforts to re-frame the War on Women as being about relatively petty offenses like this and it looks like some liberals are taking the bait. Don't do it!

2012 proved that Americans are not as gullible as we thought in 2004. Team Rape can dig up all the brown candidates they want, but their hate-filled platform is what cost them the election.
Let us hope they never figure that out.
