It's nice when Seattle shows the rest of Washington that we're the ones calling ths shots.

The supreme court is safe for now. *phew*

Now enough with the gloating. We're better than that. Pull the Rs back to the middle, apply pressure to the president on civil liberties, and FOCUS ON 2014.

To paraphrase our president, 'don't celebrate, vote.'

I live in Kitsap county and am soooo thankful for King county's voters!

It looks like Obama won in a lot of counties you wouldn't expect: Kitsap, Grays Harbor, Island (home to Whidbey Island Naval Air Station and usually a pretty conservative county. Not be confused with uber-liberal San Juan County), Pacific. It looks like the only county on the I-5 corridor he didn't take is Lewis, but that's not really a surprise.

@4, If you are surprised Grays Harbor voted for Obama, you don't know much about it. It is reliably Democratic. It was one of the few counties Gregoire carried in 2004 (though it was close). People in GHC might not be as liberal as those in King County, but they are working class Dems. Pacific County is very similar.

@2 Maybe *you're* better than that. I'm enjoying being 23% more of an asshole than usual.
