Hetero Every Child Deserves a Mother and a Father

A Minnesota couple is accused of starving their 8-year-old adopted son. The boy was so malnourished his bones protruded and he weighed as much as a child half his age. The complaint was filed Friday against Mona and Russell Hauer, who are charged with six felonies, including neglect and malicious punishment of a child. According to the complaint, Mona Hauer brought the boy to Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Mankato on Oct. 9 [and] said the boy had eating issues and had been regurgitating his food for months..... The boy told officials the couple made him sit at the table and drink a liquid diet while the rest of the family ate. He said at times he was so hungry he ate dirty food from a compost site. He also told doctors he didn't brush his teeth and regurgitated his food "because he wanted the taste of food and he did not know when he would eat again."

Your candidate disagrees with you. And he harassed gay families and made it harder for them to get the documentation they needed to get their kids on their health care plans, into schools, etc.

Your candidate is an asshole and a bigot—and you, my friend, are a fool and a tool.

I hope R74 passes so that I can allow my psyche to repair from some of these horrific child abuse stories. I am not easily distressed, but these are consistently stomach churning. And yet I read them and brood over them. Please, everyone, vote for R74 so Dan will stop torturing me. If only parents would stop torturing their children...

I found this Romney soundbite to be starkly exposing of the illogic of his position. It felt like... A. B. C. and therefore the conclusion is .... 65! Doesn't even make sense.

Setting aside the inanity of that statement, the obvious follow up is, "Yeah, and what if they don't? You'd prefer that they stay in the state-funded group home when taxpayers would rather take them in? Sir, I doubt your conservative credentials."

So strange. In my country, when I sign documents for my children (passports, medical documents, etc) there is only the title for parents translates something like: guardian. But then we're those socialist, uncivilized people with universal health care.
