Witnessing the Entrepreneurial Spirit

Posted by on Mon, Nov 5, 2012 at 9:15 AM

If you want to find real entrepreneurs, do not go to Silicon Valley. Go to the slums.

“People who live in poor countries have to be entrepreneurial even just to survive.”

Clearly you do not know the magic of the bamboo railway in Cambodia, Charles. This video is about seven minutes longer than my usual interwebs attention span, but so fascinating that it actually kept me engaged the whole time. Bonus points for the Buddhist monk sighting around the nine minute mark.

in seattle those poor people would be fined and harassed all the way back to kent/auburn for exhibiting such entrepreneurial flair. [for their own safety of course]

yup, urban density at it's finest.

an aspirational goal for Seattle for sure, combining our light rail dreams, street vendor fantasies, and packing as many fucking people into this earthquake-prone metropolis as possible.
