From King County Public Health:

Veraci Pizza, Inc. located at the Ballard Farmers Market, Seattle was closed by a Public Health food inspector on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at 12:45 pm for the following violations:

· Potentially hazardous foods at unsafe temperatures
· Inadequate facilities to control temperature of potentially hazardous food (cold holding)
· Poor personal hygiene practices: not washing hands
· Handwashing facilities unavailable

Another farmers market shut-down happened just a couple weeks ago. Um, if you're going to be handing out samples of apples or serving pizza—even at the farmers market, where everything's all hearts and flowers and multicolored organic carrots—you need to wash your hands. A lot.

You may find out when Veraci will ride again at the Ballard Farmers Market over here.
