Since the paper came out last Wednesday, even more places in Seattle are now open, including the Whale Wins, Joule, and Pettirosso. These last two are reopenings, but all three are exciting. And then there are all these places...

THE OAK 路 Beacon Hill: The team behind the Redwood on Capitol Hill brings Beacon Hill this place that can contain children and also has a cocktail lounge for grown-ups. The Oak's beer comes from local breweries; its menu focuses on organic/locally grown food. Our semi-inebriated friend Brad reports that the lounge is "dark and comfortable," and he further says, "Thank god it's open." (3019 Beacon Ave S, no phone, $)

BOUNGU KENKEN 路 on the road: Boungu KenKen's Facebook says, "I come from Haiti to make my dream come true. To bring all the wonderful recipes my mother and grandmother taught me to the beautiful people of Seattle."
