Goldy,
Long time follower of your blog (pre Brownie days). I'm so furious right now.
I just received a phone call urging me to vote for "pro-choice" Rob McKenna plus a list of other Republicans. Don't know how we got on their list since we're long term democrats. But the dishonesty kills me.
How do they dare?

just wanted to share in case you hear similar from others and want to make some hay out of it.
This has always been Rob McKenna's strategy for winning this election: Close the gender gap by convincing enough women, particularly in King County, that he is the pro-choice/pro-education candidate. Of course, he's neither, so don't fall for it.
And if you're receiving similarly misleading phone calls, let me know.

McKenna is pro-choice, and wants to ensure that all pharmacies sell the morning-after pill.[22] As a general provision, McKenna would support legislation that would require parental notification before a minor obtains an abortion. "I'm like a lot of parents," McKenna said. "When your daughter turns 13 and the mom is kicked out of the examining room for anything related to reproductive health, it's troubling for a lot of parents."[23]
