"What IS an Internet?"

Posted by on Thu, Oct 25, 2012 at 7:07 AM

1994! First thing: The host's tie. Second thing, he says "We're gonna look at some pictures and video of technology." Third thing: The internet service provider guys's ponytail. Fourth thing, the show is named McCuistion BEEP! Obviously this guy just changed his name to sound like "My question."

Thank you for playing today's edition of What is an internet?. Prizes will be mailed in the year 2012.

We were soooo internet stupid back then. But then I was using AOL on my Mac Performa with a Global Village Gold modem.

Those AOL M4M chatrooms....ugh!

Yes, I have a question. Will there be any pornography on this internet thing?

I never heard the word "internet" until September of '94. My college freshman bio teacher showed us how to use Yahoo! for research. Before that, I thought computers were only for playing Oregon Trail.

@4 You mean that whole megabit of backbone bandwidth that you probably connected to using a screeching 9600 baud phone modem at best?
