Axelrod used it to mock Gingrich's attacks on Obama a couple years ago, I believe. One of those remarks the right had best not try slinging back in the president's direction.

They have an aphorism in Japan about fools who make fun of foolish behavior or other mockery: monkeys laughing at the butts of other monkeys. "Saru no shiri warai" [the laughing of monkeys at (the) buttocks (of others)]
