Want to help Washington recognize gay marriage but don't want to cold-call bigots from a phone bank? The Washington Bus's Trick or Vote is your event.

The party begins Saturday, October 27th, at 1:00 p.m. so it won't interfere with your weekend's pre-Halloween party plans.

Cupcakes and civil rights advocacy always pair well. Just ask these people.

The Washington Bus's Trick or Vote aspires to be the largest single-day canvassing effort to spread the good word about voting for marriage equality this election. This is one of your last opportunities to urge strangers across Seattle to Approve Referendum 74, and you get to do it while dressed as the cupcake or B-list celebrity of your choice! Or something more culturally relevant, like the ghost of the Seattle Times's credibility.

Check out the Wasington Bus's website for more details and how to register for Trick or Vote.

It's family friendly! Bring the kids! There's a party afterward! With candy!
