'I AM A LAND ANIMAL' To make this series of images, Susan Robb used an airplane window seat as her studio. Her new show at Cornish will be performed via Skype with other artists. She'll make things, and they'll make things, together.
This first call will go to Chauney Peck. Peck is an artist who lives in LA (yup, you remember right, she used to live in Seattle). The two of them are going to Skype-make an artwork. I don't know whether this means they'll both make the same thing, or two different things but following each other's instructions, or whether neither of them will really make anything besides the performance of trying to make a thing. I don't really know whether it will work. But at six forty-five, the next Skype call begins. And obviously, each one will be different. This second one is with Whiting Tennis, who'll just be across Seattle at his home studio. At seven-thirty, Reed Anderson in New York will pop onto Robb's screen.
