Art and Nature Tonight at the Neptune: Short Takes

Posted by on Mon, Oct 15, 2012 at 11:18 AM

Yoong Wah Alex Wongs picture of the line between dry land and green land in rural Ladakh, India. Part of the exhibition of International Conservation Photography at the Burke.

The Burke Museum is trying something new, starting tonight: Quick, pecha-kucha-style talks on the relationship between art and nature, in conjunction with a current exhibition. Speakers will zip through topics from astronomy to secretive snow leopards to 19th-century photographs to ancient stone carvings.

The cost is only 5 bucks, talks start at 7 pm, and the venue is the Neptune, so you get a chance to see great photography on a big screen. Details.
