That's great, though one can't help but suspect if the guber race weren't so tight at this point he might not have bothered. Also, his delivery suggests he delegated the scriptwriting to somebody else. But shut up, Gus, this is really great anyway.

yeah no i dont trust this guy and im not down with late band wagon jumping for votes. if he actually gave a shit he would have done it earlier than near the end of his election. its good that theres another message of hope out there but the intentions dont ring true to me and the last thing kids need is someone trying to use them.
@6 "I'm getting pretty sick of straight cis males talking about how it gets better. They have no experience in being queer."
Perhaps not, but straight cis males reaching out is one of the ways in which it is getting better overall, and takes place in those communities where it gets better.

An Enemy Like Jay Inslee on October 11, 2012 at 1:45 PM
You know. Inslee actually walks the gay walk instead of just making a video and then undermining it with shitty actions.
Actually, my first thought was "as if any self-respecting gay man who values his gay over his money would vote for McKenna in the first place." If it was a more tight race in terms of gay rights where both were equally bad, this video would be a total vote grab. But, Inslee walks the walk, and comparing him to groups in need of PR like the SPD is terrible.
And, yes, it is a vote grab, which defeats the initial purpose of It Gets Better, but it's still a valid video. Does It Gets Better have a separate section for straight celebrity and politicians than for actual gays? It could be handy to have average people sectioned out, at least if I was young. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND *cries*
