2012 Inslee Fights Firefighter With Firefighters

Not long ago, this "mostly false" ad for Rob McKenna hit that airwaves, paid for the by Republican Governors Association:

Among its problems: It attacks a proposal that Inslee has withdrawn, and uses as its spokesperson one—one—firefighter who happens to also be a failed Bellevue City Council candidate who was backed by conservative developer Kemper Freeman.

In response, the Inslee campaign has a new ad up that features over a half-dozen firefighters and other first responders countering the earlier pro-McKenna ad and calling it outright "false." Perhaps most effective, at least for a lot of the people who vote based on TV advertisements: this ad continues to show the Inslee campaign's intense commitment to great lighting and good looks.

Lordy, there are some cute firefighters in that video. Thank you, Jay Inslee! (I love the subtle inclusion of the playground set in the background of one of them. Nice touch to connect with parents of small kids.)

Kemper Freeman strikes again, trying to rig the election for his little pawns Rob McKenna and Kim Wyman. Thank goodness that neither Kemper nor McKenna seem to be able to attract the good-looking firemen. Whew!

Thank for the good-looking, REAL firefighters of Washington for stepping up for Jay. We owe you one!

Can't wait to see the Jay Inslee ad exposing Rob McKenna wading deeply in the mud with Koch Brothers, vote suppression right-wing hate group ALEC, and poor, environment, public transportation hating Kemper Freeman. What's fucking mind-blowing is that Washington Policy Center (not to be confused with the awesomeness that is Washington B Budget & Policy Center) is the front organization for ALEC. And you know what? Vote suppressing ALEC, aka Washington Policy Center, just LOVES Kim Wyman and Sam Reed. Am I the only one seeing this? The same right-wing groups that are found guilty of ACTUAL voter fraud and denying minorities the right to vote, like ALEC, Washington Policy Center, and Freedom Foundation, are all in the tank for Rob McKenna for Governor and Kim Wyman for Secretary of State.

And these rightwingers want to pretend like they are all independent and non-partisan? What the fuck?
